60' x 0.88" Gray Automotive Attachment Tape (6378) by 3M®. 3M™ Automotive Attachment Tape 06376 is just 0.03" (.76 mm) thick, making it excellent for flush, streamlined and permanent application of lightweight auto trim and moldings. This 1/4"-wide OEM-approved tape incorporates a strong yet conformable closed-cell acrylic foam with high performance acrylic adhesive on both sides. This adhesive resists plasticizers and delivers high peel and shear adhesion.
A Thin Attachment Tape for Wider Lightweight Trim and Moldings
3M™ Automotive Attachment Tape is ideal for permanent attachment of lighter moldings, trims, nameplates and emblems to automotive surfaces. This OEM approved 0.03" (0.76 mm) attachment tape is built with a viscoelastic foam core that provides a blend of strength and conformability for a flush, professional appearance even across long applications such as door edge moldings. It is engineered for stress relaxation when exposed to high stress loads, and maintains bond-line aesthetics under normal stress loads. A durable acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive is applied to both sides of the foam core, and delivers high peel performance and shear strength as well as resistance to plasticizers. This adhesive provides good wet-out properties across a full 7/8" width for reliable application of wider parts. A red liner provides easy one-piece release for efficient application. The gray-colored tape blends well with automotive surfaces for a smooth appearance.
3M recommends the use of 3M™ Automotive Adhesion Promoter for tape-to-part adhesion with 3M tape 06378 on all plastic parts such as RIM, TPO, PPO, PP and PC.
