Discs contain a blend of minerals for a faster cut rate, increased abrasive life and increased durability. All abrasive blends feature aluminum oxide, a popular choice because of its cut-rate and long life. This mineral is a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives quickly wear down with use. Due to its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, aluminum oxide is highly effective for sanding and finishing. Ceramic abrasive grains provide excellent abrasive life and a fast cut rate when used on body filler./p>

Depending on the disc you choose, you can find one for everything from stripping paint from metal, plastic or fiberglass surfaces to shaping and sanding body filler. You'll also find discs for deburring, rust removal, weld removal and rough featheredging. It's discs come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad, and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next disc./p>
