A die grinder is a versatile tool commonly used for a variety of application purposes, starting from grinding and sanding to honing, polishing, and machining. A die grinder is a rotary tool that operates by the means of rotating a grinding nose at high speeds measured in RPM. The grinding and cutting action is performed by various abrasive attachments connected to the body of the die grinder with the help of the collet. The choice of grinder attachments should be based on the type of material you will be working on as well as the kind of project you have in mind. Flap wheels are made of flexible abrasive sheets that adapt to the contour of the target surface and provide simultaneous cutting and finishing action. Ideally suited for metal, wood, leather, glass, marble, and plastic surfaces. Grinder burrs are commonly used for general purpose stock removal and debarring. Made of durable carbide, burrs typically feature a double cut head look for more efficient cleaning action. Burrs are often available in sets.
