Air Heaters
A portable air heater is a perfect solution for both indoor and outdoor areas which can be problematic, impractical, or even impossible to warm up using a stationary HVAC system. You can install it in a garage, workshop, patio, job site, or other places, and the market offers different types of air heaters for each situation. Portable heaters differ by type and source of power. There are electric, gas, kerosene, oil, and some other models that can be of the convection, forced, or radiant variety. As the name implies, convection heaters are based on the effect of convection when hot air rises and pushes cooler air down creating circular flow.
However, this flow cannot be compared to that generated by forced heaters, as most of them have a fan that spreads warmth more effectively. As for radiant models, they employ infrared radiation whose effect is more oriented toward surrounding objects rather than ambient air. That's why such heaters are often more preferable in the open air, or when it's necessary to create a special zone, like in the case of infrared curing lamps that can warm up a painted surface without spending too much energy on warming the whole workshop.
