Another crucial factor to consider when choosing a new screwdriver is its thickness and length. Unlike thicker universal screwdrivers with interchangeable bits, a simple screwdriver has a notably thinner stem and can be inserted into a smaller hole. Such a tool can be very long to get to some hard-to-reach fasteners, or extremely short to work in narrow places stuffed with numerous mechanisms.
