Gasket Scrapers

A scraper is an extremely helpful hand tool allowing you to carry out many tasks, be it removing old coatings, tiles, wallpaper, or putty. In order to maximize performance, scrapers are available in numerous types and shapes. Some of them have a wide blade to work on large surfaces, while others have a smaller, narrow blade to treat channels and other hard-to-reach places. Meanwhile, there is a special category of scrapers used to remove old gaskets or parts secured with the help of sealants, such as oil pans in some vehicles.

Most gasket scrapers feature a narrow blade that can be applied with various mechanisms. A relatively long stem connected with a handle may have a curved shape for easier access to different parts. Some models feature a strike cap allowing you to use such a tool with a hammer. A blade angle can also vary, while the blade itself can be manufactured from various materials such as carbon or stainless steel, brass, nylon, or even plastic. The last two materials are utilized in places where high effort is not necessary, but more care is needed to avoid damage to vulnerable parts.
