MaxxLock™ Fiberglass Handle Ball-Peen Hammer by GearWrench®. The GEARWRENCH MaxxLock™ hammers and sledges are built to last. The MaxxLock™ head-to-handle locking system uses epoxy and wedges to provide more than 10,000 lbs. of pull-off resistance. The head is drop-forged from alloy steel then polished along the head, cheeks, and pein. The handles of our MAXXLock hammers have a fiberglass core that performs better than comparable steel rod handles and weigh less. These handles also have a steel reinforced copper tether point for working at height.
