HAZET is a family-operated company founded in 1868 by Herman Zerver, a blacksmith who made hand tools. He opened his first plant in Remscheid-Vieringhausen. The name of the company stands for its founder’s initials as pronounced in German. Today, the business that includes four manufacturing facilities in Remscheid and Heinsberg is managed by fifth-generation members of the family. The company’s assortment includes more than 5,500 products, including HAZET tools and special equipment for automotive, aerospace, industrial production spheres, and much more.
Invaluable experience gained by the company’s engineers throughout more than 150-year production history materializes in development and manufacturing of premium-quality electrically-insulated hand and power tools, including screwdrivers, pliers, shears, hammers, wrenches, HAZET torque wrenches, workshop equipment, and a wide range of specialized tools. The company utilizes state-of-the-art technologies and manufacturing techniques, including CAD, electronically controlled machining, forging, sheet metal forming, electroplating, and powder coating processes to ensure great precision, durability, and reliability of HAZET products. It was the first company in Europe to introduce nickel-chrome coating for surface protection of hand tools. The company holds many patents for innovative products making the life of people working with tools much easier.
The HAZET Assistent was the world’s first tool trolley, a wheeled toolbox that can be transformed into a rolling worktable with a replaceable work top, drawers, sliding trays, and a spacious bottom container. The original design of the late 1950s was well-rounded and effective, so the product remains virtually unchanged today. The 5-compartment HAZET tool box made of steel is one of the most popular products offered by the company. When it is opened, it offers easy access to the necessary tools, bits, and hardware on the job site, and when it is closed, the tool box features a compact size and can be easily stored in tight spaces.
