In a nutshell, welding uses a high-temperature flame to melt the edges to be bonded, add the filler, and create a joint that features comparable physical characteristics of the base metal. Similar processes are used for brazing, soldering, and cutting metals. One essential component allowing you to get excellent results is a tip. There are specialized tips for welding, heating, cutting, soldering, and brazing, and each type carries distinctive design features. Although these tips may all look the same to the untrained eye, their construction is determined by the type of fuel, working temperature, and the final application.

Welding and cutting tips are designed to produce generous volumes of concentrated heat. Preheating is required in many welding applications, and heating is also used for bending, shrinking, and forming. The typical design consists of a conductor tube, gas diffuser, contact tip, and nozzle. A nut assembly connects the tip to the torch. In some refined models, the nut includes a gas mixer to optimize the acetylene/oxygen mixture. The shape and size of the nozzle vary according to the job and the volume of heat. We offer a broad assortment of quality heating and welding tips for light-, medium- and heavy-duty applications, designed by leading manufacturers and sold at reasonable prices.
