A workshop that deals with shaft-fitted parts removal is likely to need a hydraulic puller to perform such works quickly and easily. Hydraulic pullers may feature capacity between 4 and 30 tons approximately, depending on their kind and application. Those who work with bearings can benefit from using hydraulic pullers during bearing installation, removal, and service. Pullers are also used to remove and install bushings and pulleys, gears and wheels, etc. Heavy-duty hydraulic pullers are used to dismantle heavy-duty parts, such as couplings, gears, and many other components that are difficult or even impossible to remove manually.
Hydraulic pullers usually feature an integrated pump, which is mated to a cylinder by means of a hose. The majority of pullers feature a three-leg setup, which allows for stable positioning. However, a two-leg configuration is also quite common. Normally, hydraulic pullers allow for 360-degrees rotation for flexible use in any position.
