Security from two window punches
The tail cap with a blunt-force steel ball is used to cover the sharper tungsten steel punch for safety in daily use. When you don't need to cut the seatbelt and the situation is urgent, you can use the outside window punch to break the corners of the window. In an emergency where your seatbelt buckle is stuck, you can detach and toss the cap, cut the seatbelt with the cutter and break the glass with the inside window punch. There is no need to worry whether you can break the window if you lose the cap after cutting the seatbelt.
SOS Signaling
Blinking lights often catch a 1st responder's attention quicker than a continuous beam. In emergency mode, the autoXscape automatically flashes the universal SOS distress signal so you don't need to hearken back to Boy Scout training—if indeed you have had this training at all-to indicate to rescuers where help is needed.
InGear® founder JG Pan was an engineer in China’s lighting industry when, on July 21, 2012, a monumental rainstorm pummeled Beijing and its surrounding communities. Depending on location, between 7 and 18 inches of rain fell during a 24-hour period, the heaviest one-day deluge to hit Beijing in more than 60 years. Massive flooding resulted, claiming 79 lives. Many who died drowned in their vehicles when floodwaters swamped roads and underpasses.
The heart-wrenching casualties moved JG to seek ways to mitigate future catastrophes. He researched auto safety products but was dissatisfied with the emergency-readiness of items he could find in his native land. Convinced that lives could be saved if high-quality devices were available, he focused his efforts on what would become a personal mission: design dependable, portable, easy-access emergency tools that motorists everywhere could keep close at hand, preparing them for dangerous, unexpected events.
