Despite its disarming simplicity, a mason line is one of the most essential tools in masonry. It is used for aligning bricks or blocks and ensuring that the final surfaces and finishes are perfectly leveled. Typically, it is stretched horizontally to provide a guide for the correct construction of the wall.
