The paper's P-graded, heat-treated aluminum oxide abrasive works well on moderate material removal projects on painted surfaces, composites, plastics, and other materials that tend to load.

The fiber-reinforced, B-weight latex-saturated backing gives this paper an improved tear strength of 50 to 60 percent, while the water-based stearate open coat helps the paper resist clogging and loading.
