Nutsetters

Nutsetters are the tools designed to tighten or loosen nuts and bolts in combination with power screwdrivers. Typically, they consist of a socket mounted on a shaft; the socket accommodates the nut while the shank is inserted into the chuck. Usually, both the socket and shaft are hexagonal. Nutsetters are great tools to ease working with fasteners; however, they require some precautions, as they can engage the nuts too brutally and damage them. Such inconveniences may happen when using impact tools or power drills that don't have a variable clutch and don't provide adequate control.

Several types of nutsetters are available, and the hex ones are the most common category working on the corners of the nut when fastening. In the case of excessive torque, however, they are likely to cause corner stripping. Lobular nutsetters are designed to overcome this drawback: the sides of the hexagon are arched to release the angles from stress and spread it on the sides. Some models, known as torsion nutsetters, are designed to withstand significant torsional forces produced by the power or impact drills. We sell a broad selection of quality nutsetters built to perfection by reputable companies to serve effectively in whatever application.
