Cutting tools are most often employed for metalworking. Today, there is a variety of cutting tools of different types, both mechanical and electrically powered. This diversity can make the choice a bit more complicated, but we are here to make it easier for you. We offer you various types of light-duty and heavy-duty power shears including but not limited to straight shears, variable speed cutting shears, etc., both corded and battery-powered.

Our portable power shears are constructed to cut through sheet metal that cannot be transported entirely from one place to another. No matter if they belong to light-duty or heavy duty type, our power cutting tools are lightweight and easy to handle. Both types are able to continuously cut straight, irregular, and curved lines scribed on a workpiece and are usually used to cut template patterns for trimming the sheet metal, duct work, auto body work, and aircraft structural repair. The main difference between heavy- and light-duty power shears lies in thickness and hardness of a metal sheet.

Heavy-duty power shears are capable of cutting soft sheet steel up to #6 gauge, but they are mostly used (by maintenance shops, for instance) for cutting up to #12 gauge sheet metal. Our cutting tools range includes shears that can efficiently cut even the sheet metal that is milder and a bit thicker than the standard sheet metal for these power shears. Light-duty power shears are capable of cutting #14 gauge sheet metal and thinner. As they weigh even less than heavy-duty power cutting tools, they are much more facile in handling. Depending on the model, our power shears are powered by electricity or a Li-Ion battery.

Any power shears you see on our virtual shelves are designed to operate flawlessly. The power cutting tools on offer are equipped with sharp blades made from quality alloy for extended durability, have got a rubberized handle for ease of use, and a prolonged battery running time. There are differences in capabilities of various kinds of power cutting tools as well as the way each of them operates. There are two more key factors which impact the efficient operation of hand-held power cutting shears: sharp blades and proper blade clearance. The quality of our tools provides the availability of both.
