Safety Wire Pliers

It's widely known that threaded connections tend to loosen due to vibration, so bolts and nuts may gradually unscrew under such conditions. In aircraft, racing vehicles, and some other fields, this may be quite dangerous and result in crashes or serious accidents, so engineers had to invent something to keep fasteners in place no matter what. Safety wire is one such invention. Threaded through a hole that is drilled in a fastener or other constructions, the wire is twisted and secured to another fastener or part, which prevents the fasteners from unscrewing.

However, the process of twisting using a pair of traditional pliers is somewhat slow and inconvenient. To make it faster and easier, there is a special tool called safety wire pliers. Their design allows you to squeeze two wire ends and lock the tool in a closed position. Then, you just pull the shaft in the pliers, which makes them rotate together with the wire.
