SAE Spiral Point Tap by KnKut®. Tapping made simple with KnKut Performance Spiral Taps! KnKut Performance Taps give you quick chip ejection and clean, accurate threading. These spiral point taps have form relieved threads and double back taper to reduce drag and heat. KnKut Performance Taps are made of Hi-Tungsten and Hi-Molybdenum tool steel. They are surface treated for maximum lubricity and have precision ground threads for the best in accuracy and performance. Spiral point construction drives chips ahead of the tap, permitting higher speeds and faster cutting with less torque.

R.W. Thompson, Inc. warrants to distributors and industrial and commercial users of its products that each new product supplied shall be free from defects in material and workmanship. Their sole obligation under this warranty is limited to furnishing, at its option without additional charge, a replacement for, repairing or issuing credit for any product which within 6 months from the date of sale. This warranty does not apply to any products which have been altered, misused, subject to an accident or used beyond their normal useful life. Failure to make any claims within such time shall constitute a waiver by buyer of all claims with respect to such shipment. Their sole liability on any claim of any kind, whether in contract, or otherwise, for any loss or damage connected with, or resulting from the manufacture, sale, delivery or use of the products sold hereunder shall in no case exceed the cost of replacement or repair as provided herein. Drill bits are not designed to enlarge existing holes. When force is exerted on the outer cutting lips (the weakest part of the drill bit), the tool will possibly chip and ultimately fail. Many users insist on drilling pilot holes prior to drilling the final desired hole size. Split point drill bits eliminate the need for pilot hole drilling. If the material does require a pilot hole, it is important to drill the smallest possible hole so that only the bit's chisel point engages the material. You will void your warranty if KnKut Drill Bits are used in this manner.
